Number one for me, although if you'd gone there later in the day when the sun was less harsh I think the photos would have been given a bigger 'WOW' factor with the light being different.

I keep thinking the pictures are crooked but I can see the ground is sloping. That cloud would make a subject for a shot on its own!

Right idea and, as said above, the lighting has been harsh with blown highlights in the sky.

Did you go back early morning or later in the evening? Longer shadows and warmer light may have been better for you.

Otherwise you would need some ND filters to tone the sky a little.

Good attempt at a popular subject this time of year.

As Robert says...that cloud is something else!

Lovely shots mate. I Can't decide which one I like the most. The composition of the first is slightly better than the second, yet the blown sky in the first is a shame.

All in all, two very nice shots. Just to reinforce previous suggestions... Either a different time of day or ND grads would make images of the exact same composition nie on spot on!
