I had a few comments on my motorsport shots needing a little more PP, so i've played with the settings in 'Aperture' and tried to come up with a recipe i can use on all my shots from now on.
let me know if you think it works (not C+C needed on the shot itself, just the PP)

I think that looks very good, the colours have come out extremley well.
Excellent PP
What PP did you apply to this?
It looks a lot better, definitely. Careful about the whites, though, they're nearly 'burned out'.

i added a little more exposure, a little less brightness, a dash of saturation, a tablespoon of contrast and a grain of sharpness.

Sounds like a perfect receipe. As your a local 'un we will have to try and organise a meet at some stage, there are a few motorsport fans in this area who are always up for a meet.
big improvement on the original, just shows that good PP skills are really essential in getting the best results.
nice shot BTW:thumbs:
Yup, works for me. You've converted a fairly dull shot into a bright vibrant shot, crucially without over doing it
Much improved.....much more impact on the edited version.

Looks good, before it looked washed out... maybe under exposed?
Looks much better now. Did you adjust any levels?

I would imagine that the original has been converted straight from a RAW. I've noticed myself that even in the best light the RAW image will look flat and lifeless. Exposure looks pretty much spot on to me.
And I'll second the comment about making it look much better without over-doing it :)
Kasalic.
definately look better than the original photo.
spot on mate nice ...
keep them all like that and you wont be far off imo
