This was dragged from my hard drive after finding inspiration that I lacked initially.
A 14th Century Church in a nice Welsh village, which is popular with hikers from what I remember. Some more info on the Church: http://www.stmichaelsbyc.org.uk/
Quite a bit of processing in it...quite enjoying this experimenting with Photoshop of late lol :)

Thanks :D
As said, before I couldn't quite find a happy presentation of the image, not that I would upload and share anyway lol
This I like though :)
I think you deserve to be pleased.
I don't think I'd have had the grass as bright, but that's just my personal taste.
almost has an IR look about it!

Lovely.
Get's my vote as well - Like this shot allot.
Like it a lot but not too keen on the green hue, looks a bit too ... artifical?
Lovely shot. Im not quite so keen on the colour gradient though, The clouds look as if they are tending towards sepia, and the grass looks ever-so slightly blue? Perhaps its the crappy monitor I'm using at work...
As mentioned, the grass is a little bright for my taste.
All that mentioned though, I love the composition, and the subject matter, contrast and textures work very well indeed! Very nice :)

Some good comments there, and appreciated too; thanks ;)
I'm not normally one to process images too much, but fancied it a little of late with images that I couldn't get to a stage that I was happy with as 'normal', so guess I was just experimenting and seeing if I could salvage any shots.
So in all, a good learning curve and thanks for the comments, all taken onboard :)

Wow! Lots of memories from here, i 'think' this is where my Grandparents are resting, going to have make some calls to confirm this.
Ditto on the grass, but like you say it's all a learning curve

Glad you like Deadpan, and that is possibly has some sentiment for you in a way :)
Will try and darken the grass later and repost to see what you guys think ;)

Love it, very atmospheric and striking, plus I like the processing, would love to see a shadowy/high-contrast B&W
:agree: & also agree about the bright grass comment, looks like a bit of the detail has been lost in the bright conversion.
Once the grass is sorted, it'll be a very very nice shot
