This is my first ever sun shot, in Marbella.

How could I improve? Thank you.

Only thing I might do is to try and stand at a point where the dark beach line creates a second horizon level. With it being disproportionate it adds a false vanishing point which makes it look uneven.

And perhaps a tighter crop on some so there is less black.

But know how difficult horizons can be to take...

Thanks Chris, talking about crops, from looking at it... Clearly a crop is needed on 2 to remove the gap top left, and perhaps on 4 on left so there is no cap from the parasol?

On 4 you could try repositioning yourself so that the sun is under the bottom edge of the parasol & get sll of the parasol in the shot to see what it looks like.
