View Full Version : A few from a dull day by the river

Here are a few from a walk by the Thames with my father-in -law. I used his 70-300 IS USM and 28-135 mostly to have a play with longer lenses. It was mostly cloudy and dull.

400D, handheld or leaning on fences etc.

These are all exported from iphoto, the ones in a .mac gallery don't seem much bigger.

Lighting really is everything isn't it? Good efforts for such a drab day.
My twopence worth.....


I really like the closeup of the water.

The duck would look slightly better with a "catchlight" in its eye....and the levels lifted around its face (just a touch).

The blackberry flower is not quite the centre of your focus...
