I'm looking into putting up a web site on Servage.

But would it be easier to use something like Jalbum to construct the main galleries first, & then upload them onto servage??

I am not up to date on web building, and I do not want to spend hours & hours making a site.

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks in advance

http://www.servage.net/page/autoinstaller/ -> check that out

Drupal 5.x with Coppermine or Gallery 2 will probably do you good service.

Does that mean I can not use Jalbum??

(Thanks for the quick reply.)

Well you can use JAlbum, but with those two, you don't need to - coppermine and gallery 2 are 'systems' which enable you to upload your photos to your server and set up galleries (hence the name of gallery 2).
JAlbum only uses html, perhaps some css, javascript and its own images, nothing even the cheapest hosts couldn't handle (unless they are utter crap).

Drupal is a content management system, even some bigger sites use it.

Thanks for the heads up!
Gallery 2 looks good, Drupal looks a bit scary though!

I'll have a play with it tonight.

Thanks

Drupal is actually nice if you play with it a little.

Good luck :)

i have used galllery 2 in the past and highly recommend it.

Its very easy to use, very customisable.

If you have any problems with it, then give me a shout and i should be able to help you with it.

Good luck with it and let us know how you get on!
