Welcome to the 2011 Talk|Photography Photographer Of The Year Competition.

Vision Graphix will provide a print of the winning image for the winner each month
This year, the themes are designed to make you think, to encourage the imagination.

The deadline for entries is the 11:59pm on the last day of the month, shortly after that a POLL will be made for you to vote for you favourite entries that month. This process will then repeat each month with a leader board being published after each round. The winner of each month will receive a prize, currently a free print from Vision Graphix. The member with the most votes at the end of the year will win the coveted TP POTY Trophy.



So on with the competition;

Well for a change I am going to put my image in early instead of at the last minute. Easy theme as I was helping our local Amateur Musical Association with their publicity photos. This picture was taken at the final dress rehearsal for the purpose of producing front of house photographs. Quite literally Lights, Camera (mine!), Action!

Opening night was last night and went brilliantly, considering last week the Company didn't feel at all ready! It has been an absolute pleasure to be involved with them!

For anyone interested pictures are starting to be loaded into my Flickr account. These are pretty much straight OOC, with only a little sharpening, © added to them and reduced quality for web display.

This was about the only shot I have that could possibly fit the brief. I thought the light part might be the light reflecting off the water, the camera as in mine and the action being the bird flying, a tad tenuous I know but as we say up North 'tis betta than nowt' although some might beg to differ ;)
