All taken today near my house, handheld with flash iso 100 1/160th f11

Dark bush cricket??

Nice varied set of insects, #2 might be Graphomya maculata and you got the cranefly right. #3 and 4 look like flesh flies but can't see to be sure. I like the dragonflies best be can't help with an ID for them.

cheers gus and ajophotog yeh the dragonflies are my fave to, he was well accomadating and just sat there, i have 38 photos of him but these 2 were my favourite up close ones :-)

Nice shots - although some could do with a sharpen I think.

Looks like you got closer to crane fly than I would like to :eek:

Good shots, difficult to get dragonflies as they seem to be hunting a lot and not settling as I found out the other day, path would have been worn into a rut if had followed it backwards and forwards. As Ewan said a sharpen would have made all the difference but who am I to speak as need all the help I can get.

Nice shots, I really like the dragonfly shots and agree that they would benefit from a bit of sharpening.

Looks like you got closer to crane fly than I would like to :eek:

he was friendly and let me touch him when i moved really slow, only his wing tip *** lol

and as for sharpen, im not a big fan of PP lol so prefer not.......
