Hello everyone, after submitting my first macro shot a few days ago I thought I would submit my first portrait too. Please tell me what you think.

D200, Nikon AF-S 105mm f/2.8 F2.8 G IF-ED, natural light, f/3, 1/30s, ISO100, 0ev, BW conv photoshop default with slight red bias

Nice shot, I like it.
BUT, there is always a but....lol
the picture on the wall even though it is OOF is spoiling the shot for me. I would try and clone it out or somthing.

As far as mono conversions are concerned, I don't have a clue. so hopefully some other members will give you feedback on that.

I'm no good commenting on B&W either.
the shot is well done. I would have just put the model more to the left of the picture rather than having nothing there. she's almost too central for my tastes.

Thanks these are things you don't notice at first. I have cloned it out. (I think I need more practice with clone too!)

Again thanks for your comment, I have cropped it as you suggest and yes I like that better. I have also cloned out the pattern to the right!

what a difference thats made, its so much better.

Also, the B+W is much better than the colour one in my opinion.
