Covered it again this year. Start in a not very dynamic place but got some alright stuff. Focused on the 'elite' runners this year rather than candids and got some nice facial expressions. Steve Cram present. Image 4 is the winner about to cross the line and second place not far behind him.

All shot on an N with the 300mm F2.8 at various ISO for exposure.

I used the boekh to great effect, with the course folding away. Intentionally shot to the furthest sides of my 45 sensor points to give the images some depth. Light was rubbish and the images lack a little snap, even with a levels tweak....

Great set Pete, you have got some terrific expressions there, good use of limited DOF to isolate the subjects. As ever top quality work TFS.

Love number 4 with the winner eyeing up the finish line.

Good shooting Pete.

A few from me follow. They are just snaps as was looking after my 7 and 4 year old at the time, whilst keeping a lookout for the wife in the proletariat melee. I'm actually quite proud of her since it was here first half marathon and she did it in 2 hrs dead.

any how a few "snaps"...

Great shots guys, not easy to get any photos with two younguns to look after OG, kinda swamps the old photo mojo I find.

Pete, stunning set great use of dof, fab. Number seven is my favorite, great comp, great details, superb.

I really like the shots pete, the compistion and framing is brillant. But I'm not 100% sure on the quality? possibly it is small file sizes? but a few of them don't seem as tack sharp and detailed as your normal shots?

Yep, well spotted. Shot at lowest quality to max out the card!
