Yep, only the females take blood meals in order to acquire enough energy and nutrients to produce eggs. The males just feed on an any sort of natural sugary stuff they can find.

Think I'm going to buy one of these Raynox jobbies... can i ask where you got yours from? Have only found one place in the UK selling them, thought it was probably worth checking with you first.

Think I'm going to buy one of these Raynox jobbies... can i ask where you got yours from? Have only found one place in the UK selling them, thought it was probably worth checking with you first.
I expect it's the digital toy shop you found, I got mind off e-bay from the States as I couldn't find a UK dealer at the time.

Dunno Tom sorry, I'm a little bit concerned that if everyone buys these raynox lenses my shots won't stand up anymore :'(:'(:lol::lol:

Haha! I should warn you that I'm starting a masters in Biological Photography and Imaging in a few weeks and should be getting my hands on some serious microscope equipment! I full intend to become TPF King of Macro :lol:

Wow so you should be far too busy to even take part in forum activities then, and when your brain is so full of important stuff to do with your MSc you will forget simple actions like typing and mixing with the likes of us simple folk:p:lol::lol:
