well i finally got one :)

i went down to jessosp this morning and ended up walking away with a nikon d40 kit and very pleased with it i am too. Its a huge step up from my fuji s5600 which itself was a good camera the image quality is so much better along with the auto focusing and different modes. obviously ive not used it so much at the moment but it will be joining me on all of my travels in the future

Any recommendations for filters? bags and a decent long range lense? (lens) i was thinking of a 50-200mm nikkor vr thing ma bob but any advice is both needed (cos im a total n00b) and appreciated

As the D40 doesn't have it's own AF motor, have a look at some of the Sigma lenses that will fit your camera.
