Taken with the 40D earlier. Nice camera, exposes well. Very pleased. Used a speed lite for a spot of fill flash, though dialled down 1 stop.

Cheers mate. Might pick up a 85mm again now, as I think it would compliment the sensor perfectly for portrait.
Very nice portraits there Pete, nicely exposed. Looks like that 40d is a little bobby dazzler!!

Terrific stuff Pete, some great characters you shot there.
Looks like the 40D is doing better than the 1dmk3 at the moment.

Some really good faces there, nicely exposed. Don't like the sunglasses on the 4th one but that's his choice I suppose.
Wow! those shots are clear, well focused and exposed.
You can count the spots and blackheads! :gag:
They look about ready to pop out of my screen.

Lovely to see Diego doing what he does best ;) I'm guessing you were at some kind of 'event'. Either that or you have some strange characters in your town
Great super sharp portraits!
Good job Pete, The shots are all really well exsposed and the shots that you've used the flash it is very natural. Just ordered a 40D my self, looking forward to it even more now :D
Nice shots. Good and sharp and full of character.
You must've felt right at home at the antiquarian facial hair convention?
Great exposure is the first thing that struck me. That of course could be down to you, and not the camera!!
Nice portraits.
Some of them would look pretty good in B&W, I'd say.
What lens did you use, Pete? They are SO sharp.
