View Full Version : Bi-Weekly Assignment......Part one......Post Photo's here
Ok, then. Following the discussion in general chit chat here is you first fortnightly assignment. Join in if you like, you can post old or new shots, but in the interests of personal improvement and the idea behind the theme then new shots would nice!
One shot per person, but feel free to change it at any point if you come up with something better as this isn't a competition.
Please don't post critiques of shots unless invited by the original poster, and don't post comments here either, as the thread will quickly get rik waller type bloat. There is a seperate thread for the purpose of discussion here (http://www.thephotographyforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=32281#post32281).
Lets have some fun then shall we?
Oh yeah, the theme this time is 'TREE'

Again something a bit different, don't know if I prefer the b&w version or the colour one....... This'll do for me for now.

Actually very little photoshop work in the color one, the sign and the tree are very real. I 'may' have edited the text on the sign a smidgeon, other than that just levels and sharpening.
Here's a knackered tree :)

Hi Guys,
http://www.itsourlife.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/tree.jpg
Well my first weekly assignment completed.
Bit disappointed with the very fine white speckling, and an area to the right which looks smokey.
Any ideas
Thanks Mike
Okay here is my effort, comments welcome.

Ken.
I don't get the opertunity during the week to get out with my camera, so here's one from the image vault.
This is my son seeing how far he can bend the tree, we eventually found him in the next county :D .

No harm was caused to the tree, honest.
Unlike whats going to happen to Gandhi's. What a crime, cutting a tree down because it resembles the female form.
Hey guys, it's been a while but here is my effort on trees. I was in Bobcaygeon this weekend and this is what I came up with. For such a simple subject with trees all around us I still found it a tad difficult. This is what I came up with, not sure if it works but here it is.......
