View Full Version : Plant seed macro/abstract
Probably more suited for general than macro section, I think. Absolutely tiny plant seeds with parachutes, each no more than 1mm across.

fantastic! How were they suspended in the air?
First one works best with the different textures. Nice idea.
the fronds look almost like smoke
how the **** did you hold them still?

Thanks Janice, they were still attached to the seed pods, I just made sure to photograph them at angles that kept the pod from view.
Taken with the raynox 202 on my 70-300 using a sigma ringflash, for anyone interested.

Don't think so, I'm crap at plants but this was some scraggly little weed in the garden - much smaller than the Great Willowherb I googled!

Do they grow round the pond? They look just like the shots I took.

No pond, these plants are only 6 inches tall or so, growing on a pile of rubble the builders left behind. Will try and get an ID tomorrow if I remember.
Looks like a Dandelion to me. Then again I know nowt about plants.
