Lovely series but number one does it for me..
Great conversions..
Lovely set MK
Love the toning especially. Gives them a very calm and moody feel.
Yeh great shots there
Can I ask...what you did in Photoshop to get the sea to look so calm and smooth? Especially in pics 3 & 4.

I did a fair bit of post processing work (as you probably can tell) with cleaning the images up (Quite severe flare issues with my Lee kit, and my sensor has about as much dust as the Sahara) as well as level tweaks and toning etc. But the smoothness of the water was achieved in camera, not in Photoshop. I used a ND6 and a ND3 stacked to make the shutter speed drop right down to 30 - 160 seconds, averaging all the water movement out. :)

The 1st one for me as well.
The first is pretty sweet, but y'know we've all seen it a gazillion times - third and fourth are the ones I really like, particularly the fourth :)

Lovely shots! not sure I am so keen on the processing :( The colours in the last shot look lovely and cant help thinking that the others shots might have looked quite nice un-blued. Just my opinion though :) Great composition.

Yeah, not the most origional shot ever I know. Im on a quest to find 'objects' in the sea. I need to find more poles, submerged stairs, bunkers etc. Im hoping to find some good places when I go up to Scotland in October.

Cheers. I agree the light in number 5 is quite nice, and I have a few others like this (Unfortunately many of them are somewhat ruined by the number of people and the flare issue), however most of the ones in toned monochrome were taken nearer the middle of the day where the light was much less interesting.

Stunning work MK, I guess you used a nd filter and long exposure for these?
Opps just read further up and can see you do ;)
Nice going mate.
I really like all of them, the toning looks good. The colour one is sweet too.
Keep it up.

Cheers. Since you now have taken the macro crown, im going to have to find something else to specialise in. So long exposure seascapes will be it! :p:lol:

Thank you muchly. These were taken using your ND filters btw. Did you get my PM?
Lovely set MK.
I agree that #1 in particular stands out. Such a beautiful & classic shot.
I love the mood you convey with your seascapes, so restful & calming.
You definately have a style to your processing that gives whatever you shoot, a real sense of class & serenity.

Hi MK.
I really like number one. I have seen this shot many times before but the whites of the rails really pop off the overal cast of the image and this has made this shot a fave of mine.
Number 4 is very nice also. I find the others more than good but shadowed by these two.

Those are all excellent shots - really atmospheric. For me, no.3 is the best of the bunch - like how abstract it is.

No idea lass. Im just going down there with Sarah for a long weekend of culture and people watching. Obviously I have to take my camera, and im quite likely going to buy a Sigma 30mm f1.4 while im down there. Were going to the Royal Albert Hall on Friday which im excited about, so I can hopefully take some shots of that. But I might also try some general shots and candid shots etc. Id like to take my tripod for long exposure shots of busy streets etc, but im not sure if I can be bothered to carry it about all day.
