This is a revisited version of the shot from the other day ‘Footsteps to Sunshine (http://www.marcelbooth.co.uk/2007/09/21/footsteps-to-sunshine/)‘.
I think this version has come out better. I sent three different exposures from one original RAW file this time, through Photomatix, to create an HDR image, which was then Tone Mapped and processed in Photoshop.

not sure it works for me. Think its the foot print, looks like 1st one pionts right, then big jump left, then almost natrural next step, then ziltch. Maybe more footsteps fading into distance????

Thanks Oldfart, I didn't think of that. In hindsight i should have done a little cloning :D

much better than the first, with more impact.

Maybe one or two more footprint would have helped, but i like it as it is.

oh, and you straightened the horizon as well

Indeed I did :D At first it looked really wierd when straightened because of the slanted line of sand/water just below the horizon.

Marcel, now thats why i like this form, a complete nOOb (ie me) can give suggestions about a photo without getting head bit off. None of i'm a pro, I've been photographer for 20 years, what do you know, ****** off yer a nOOb.

I know it was part of another post. So to all the nOObs like me, I've had Canon 400d less than 2 months, going by post count Marcel has (11,601) he was born with camera in his pram & started posting soon after :D This is the difference between TP and other forums

Still loving the shot and that's just brilliant use of HDR. Like any filter or process, I think it works so much better when you can't see it's there.

Top top job.

Well in my opinion (and that of the forum), is that everyone has an opinion. Sometimes theyre right, sometimes theyre wrong, but when it comes to thoughts about whether they like a photo, theyre all valid.

I for one like to hear comments, both food and bad. I'd be a bit of a self-important arse if I disagreed with every negative comment.
You don't need to have years of experience, or 10000000's of pounds worth of kit to make a suggestion for what you think would look better in a photo, so thankyou for being bold enough to say it and not worrying :) We need more of that!
