This is my 1st ever attempt at HDR i wanted the image to look natural as a lot of HDR images just look to unreal for my taste.

The high saturation levels do say HDR somewhat but as for the tricky bits of getting the exposure settings right, so you don't get the banding and halos that we see so often.... spot on to my eye.

Think you are right about the saturation levels, think i will tone that down a bit.

Did you want C&C? If so: I think it looks reasonably natural. (I too dislike the heavily tone-mapped effect you see in so many HDR images.) The sky is quite saturated, and to my mind it's somewhere near the borderline between natural and unnatural. But it's not at all bad for a first attempt. Much better than mine!
You have avoided the HDR look but the image looks a bit too colourful for 'natural'. I'd drop the saturation a little.

We do all agree and it's a good point, here it is with less saturation. Bet your all going to say that there is to little saturation now. LOL.

Actually, I think you could go a little less on the red even. Definatley looking good though. My kinda HDR. :)
I think even on 1st image its not sky making the photo not look quite right, the sky, even though slightly over saturated isnt problem. I looked at this a few times as was on phone at time, the 2 wreaths at front fixed to fence just look too red, almost plastic looking. Its possibly whats not giving you feel good image. Good 1st attepmt better than i could do :D
The HDR processing has worked as you hoped it seems. The image looks natural. However, I do feel HDR or not that the image is a bit dull. Evening light would be nicer.

I agree about the light but i was only out testing my new Canon 17-40 F4 L so i wasn't botherd about the subject. I was looking for any problems with the lens, so i could send it back if there was any. I thought i would test it out on the war memorial, and then thought i would have a go at HDR as well.

The wreaths at the front are plastic by the way.
