Hi All

After some advice from experts here as to what would be the best lens to use for portrait work with the Oly E-510...?

I am being increasingly asked for portraits, having had another call today. I may want to invest in a decent high quality lens that is suitable for good quality portrait work.

Suggestions please... thanks.

The Olympus 50mm Macro? (http://www.parkcameras.com/ProductDetails/mcs/productID/383/groupID/14/categoryID/70/v/260df58c-d71e-4c1d-ba49-75c4d65f593d)

Sigma 30mm f/1.4? I used to have one for Nikon and it was quite fun to use. (http://www.parkcameras.com/ProductDetails/mcs/productID/4167/groupID/14/categoryID/70/v/260df58c-d71e-4c1d-ba49-75c4d65f593d)

Alternatively the Olympus 35-100 f/2.0 is pretty good, but costs a fair whack. (http://www.parkcameras.com/ProductDetails/mcs/productID/3276/groupID/14/categoryID/70/v/260df58c-d71e-4c1d-ba49-75c4d65f593d)

King.

Edit: You could wait for this? (http://www.parkcameras.com/ProductDetails/mcs/productID/6476/groupID/14/categoryID/70/v/260df58c-d71e-4c1d-ba49-75c4d65f593d)

probably the 50mm F2 that you already have.

not going to get sharper than that and the slow focus of the 50mm will not be an issue with portrait.

other than that you could use some nice old legacy glass if you fancy converting it for use on the Oly?

bit short for portraits, but will be good for the wacky kids party pics at weekend :D

I suppose it will be good for group portrait shots as well
