Right so i have work experience in school in March.
But I need to find a placement by November.
I really want to do something in photography, But we can't work with 'sole traders' for obvious insurance reasons.
Does anyone know of any photographers in the Lincoln or even Grantham area that aren't?
Because im having real trouble with this. And i thought before i completely gave up on the idea i might try asking on here.

Please help.

Thanks.

My first thought would be a studio, i.e. portraits etc, they're more likely to be non sole traders.

I'd have thought most pro togs would, at least some of the time work on their own. Or am I wrong?

It depends if you mean 'sole traders' for purposes of tax etc or that they work alone. If it is the former many will be Limited Companies, your best bet would be ring round the studios in your area.

I think your best bet would be to find out which photographer your school uses, and maybe accompany them to other schools / assignments?

That way you would probably feel relaxed working (IE with people of a similar age as 'clients') and you can see the whole thing from the other side of the fence too.

Plus the school's photographers will have all the necessary checks in place to be able to work with you :)

Thanks for your help,
You all made some really good points..
And i'll ask about the school photographer, otherwise i'll ring round the local studios.
Thanks again.. (:
