I've been asked to try out a 28-70 AF-S lens for a mate as I have one as he says it squeeks. Now I've tried it and it sometimes ( not that often ) makes a high pitched squeek when focusing. Now IIRC that means the motor is on it's way out.
Has anyone sent a lens in to Nikon for a replacement/service recently as he'd like to know how much it'll cost?
I have NPU membership if that makes it cheaper for me to send it in for him.
