Well I guess everyone has a favourite shot from their holidays and mine is here. Like the high up Tenaya Lake we found on in Yosemite there was a definite feeling of wow factor just looking at it. I set the tripod up for a shot of the two of us in front of it and it looks like we are standing in front of a studio backdrop picture - too good to be true.

Standing next to me as I took this one was a large crow. I did take a shot of it but it was blurred!

The following pictures are all of Bow Lake. After taking the glacier shot and this one we moved further down the road. Yes this is all at the roadside!

This is a stitch of 4 vertical images at 17mm on full frame. There was no way to get the right hand shot without my shadow so I either include it or face some editing :)

And here is a 2000 pixel version (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/r.peacock53/talkp/BowLake2000.jpg) of the last panorama shot...but I forgot to sharpen it.

Lovely, 2 and 3 for me.

The only criticism I have (and maybe it is just my eyes) is that the second picture doesn't seem level.

I'm not very good at level when shooting but I think #2 is OK

This is 100% crop from the middle. Reflections seem directly below to me.

well maybe a small decimal of a degree out :)

I think you're right actually, looking at the grass at the front it does seem to be straight, the water line confused me a bit I think. :)

All superb, but your shadow in number 6 made me laugh, looks like your pulling some funky shapes ;)

Quite a nice set, my favourite are the first two. The other ones are almost overexposed, but still fine and the landscape is really nice.

Wow, Had to comment on these shots I think they are the best from a great series. I especially think the shot with the spruce on the righthand side is a winner....Ian:clap:

Robert I have to say that 3 is an absolute cracker!

I think that is probably the shot I'll put forward. It is my favourite though #2 is close :)

Bow Lake was one of those places that you stand and look at....and still wonder if it is real!

Had to wait quite a while to get those shots until some Russian tourists finally got out of the way. No hardship waiting there though.

Just catching up on all of these now - But 3 takes some beating Robert.
Little bit of vignetting in the corners ? Guessing that the polariser ?

Yes. catches the corners on the 17-40 and 24-105. Easy to fix in pp but I'm lazy ;)

Oh and you'll have to go back about 6 pages for 'all' of them!
