PS Microwave recipes also gratefully accepted.
Empire Direct? They're pretty good.
Pricerunner for comparisons, but try to stay away from some of the less known brands on there, i've heard a few horror stories ;)
also, try www.myvouchercodes.co.uk for discount codes for stuff.
I look for discount codes for everything now, always get my shopping delivered free ;)

I got mine from John Lewis, they price match other stores like currys but not internet shops, very good aftersales service!!!
I've got a 4 ring Halogen cooker in the garage if you want it . It won't fit in our current kitchen & my wife won't let me skip it :)
Ps. It's a bit heavy to post :D
You can try here http://www.clearance-comet.co.uk/ it's possible to get a good deal there.

What's it doing.....or not doing?
Most faults are easily repaired for surprisingly little money

I reckon its the element in the main oven, as it went the same way about 2 yrs ago

a bang would be something to expect when the element gets FUBAR
What model oven is it?
I got an element and fitted it in the monster in laws oven for under £25 last month, an appliance repair dude wanted £75 !!!!
A short while ago my oven exploded too, there was a massive bang & glass went shooting all over the kitchen
Still have not got around to getting another one so this will be a very useful thread for me too

Its a Beko DV5522. The power went in the house the other day when it was on, and it stopped getting hot. Think that was the element going
Just tried it again, in the fan oven bit, the light comes on, the fan comes on, but the heat dont.

does the temperature light come on?
Could be the thermostat, but they don't normally make a noise when they give up, and the last few meals before it's death tend to get frazzled.
A new element can be found clicky clicky clicky (http://www.sparesrus.biz/ol-catlg/fan-element-12.php)
Confirm it's the right one though when you order......I ain't payin if it's wrong
Usually just a couple of screws on the cover and then a few holding the element and a wiring connection.

never thought of the thermostat, humm - the temp light comes on, but never goes off as it never reaches any temp.
It didn't make a noise, just took the power out to the house (I reckon).
Still element would you think.?
PS Thanks for the link

What's that?
Is that the "Oh the fridge is broke, sod it let's have a jar"

We do! I also rely on my oven to heat my whole house as I wander aimlessly, painting on the walls & poking my thumbs through my threadbare Curt Cobain jumper
