Went to the Lincolcnshire Aviation Heritage Centre today to see Just Jane the Lancaster do a tail up taxi run (the airframe has expired so this is the closest it comes to flying nowadays) all handheld with the 1d MK3 and 100-400, all are unedited apart from a resize as i am not home and dont have any editing software on my work laptop, ill have to sort that when i get home lol

Thanks Paul, apparently the BBMF Lanc is flying again tomorrow at its base of RAF Coningsby, last display of the year for it, and wouldnt you credit it, its a private event, although being an airbase there are a few places to see it anyway.

Hopefully when i get home i can edit the shots and sort the levels issues out :)

Beautiful pics!!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

What a shame that the Lanc can't fly...

Is there any way they can rebuild the airframe to make her airworthy again?

Will cost a few arms and legs, no doubt.:nuts::sulk:

Thanks :) as i understand it, it needs re-sparring which the BBMF Lanc got in about 1995, this is a complete strip down and rebuild of the air frame and would cost a LOT of cash !

Let's start collecting then...

It will surely be worth it to see the end result!:woot:

Oh yes, well worth it, its spectacular enough seeing it barrel down the grass even knowing it cant take off, can pay to be in it when it does these taxi runs as well ;)

Considering there are only 2 flying in the world and one is in canada, another one flying would be superb.
