So continuing on up the 93 on the way to Jasper from Peyto and Crow lakes we came to Waterfowl Lake - which didn't have any birds on it.

Then came Mistaya Canyon where the water had cut so deeply into the rock that you couldn't see down far enough to find water in places.

The dots on the far rocks above are people and this is when I joined them.

The road has stops for viewing and this is fairly typical. Often there would be no one else there.

Think I just pulled over here as there was so little traffic and the view was pretty good! Nice roads to drive on :)

No 1 is great - though I'd be sorely tempted to PP the con trail out of the sky on the top right.

Another vote for #1 here.

Seems like all that stuff about it needing to be the golden hour to get great landscapes is a load of old b/s!
