Is anyone else having a problem with pictures taking an age to load on the page? Only some though, others are ready and waiting to view when the page opens :shrug:

And when I say an age, some pictures are taking about 30 minutes :eek:

I'm on broadband, and have no problems loading pictures anywhere else. Everything else on TP loads instantly for me, it's just some of the pics :thinking:

The best way to find out the problem would be to link to some of the photos that you are having problems with.

Chances are that it is ones that are hosted off of the TP server and are using a slow host.

The other thing that comes to mind is that it is pictures that are either all hosted on the same cluster of servers or are hosted on american (for instance) servers and your ISP is having problems routing the traffic from them.

I personally haven't noticed any images taking longer than a few seconds to download.

What images and what ISP?

I've had some take an age to load. I can't remember them all but Tuna's Rainy night was definatley one.

Me too... some images, particularly from Flikr have recently been taking a log time to load and I am on a 20MB BB connection. Images hosted on tp servers load very quickly, images hosted on photobucket also load very quickly.

Seems to be Flikr to me.

I am finding the site very very slow to load anything at all.
Refresh doesn't work and I have to keep closing the site before it opens properly.

I've just been looking at the Animals and Nature forum and I am not getting any pictures showing on some of the threads, just the small boxes with the x showing, I've tried right mouse button and show picture but get nothing. The threads I'm getting this on are:-

The ducks in flight silhouette one is apparently coming from photobucket. It still hadn't appeared after about a minute! Everything hosted on here is instant. My isp is quick to US. I can download a 70Mb file from Epson US in under a minute.
