I prefer the second one without the man made intrusions. It's OK but needs a little more interest in it. Another layer or two like the one you have with the trees or some more colour in the sky.

I too prefer the 2nd shot. It has better balance. It is a recession, silhouette shot and that part has been handled well. A bit of redundant sky in both so consider further cropping.
