Well, i found this terrible photo i took ages, i decided to try it with HDR to see if i could spruce it up a bit. Somewhere between tone mapping and saving the file, photomatix spat out this horrid, odd photo. But even more odd is, i like it? The lighting wasn't anything like this, infact on the original both sides looked identical. I like the way it almost looks like the photo is split in half, two paths of light leading one way to the darkness, another to the light. So ladies and gentleman, did i make a terrible photo even more terrible, or did i make something worthy and interesting? :)

I could like it - there's a shot struggling to get out I reckon, just a question of hitting the right balance with the processing Not easy.

Struggling with it if I am honest. There are elements which look promising but that is about it. The two areas of light compete with each other for the viewers attention. One must go or they should merge. There is a nice tonal range thing going on and that that along with the mysterious quality are what you have. I would be tempted to drop the right hand side completely.
