I just love the colours of autumn and as the light was so nice today, I thought I'd go and try to capture some of them ! I know none of them are anything amazing, but open for criticism or suggestions anyway

i like pics like these being a country lover, but i like the second pic the best, it just makes me want to pitch my seat between them trees to the left and do a nice spot of fishing..

I used to love my fishing but unfortunately, I've just not had time the last few years :'(

'Tis a lovely little pool though ...........

Ok. I'm going to upset you now.
the First image, the sun is too bright and the image doesn't look great with highlights in the leaves. Also there is no main focal point, I'm not sure what I;m looking at.
Second image is spoilt by quality of light as above comment.
The third image is almost there. Perhaps use the path as a lead in to a focal point. The final image a great but spoilt by the branch behind the berries. Next time, pull them out the way.
Out of all four, the third is the best of the set.

#4 for me also
it's got real punch
are they rose-hips?

are they rose-hips?

I think so, although I've never noticed them with such humongous thorns before ! (That branch in the background was part of the same plant)

I think Natjag has it about right on the critical side. They are pleasing shots but just need a stronger point of interest. I can fully understand why you would want to record those wonderful colours though and #2 has a great autumnal and peaceful feel to it.
