photoshop..

i have photoshop cs and i was wondering if you's could help? when you's go on about processing and editing the shots you's mention 'darkening areas' and lightening areas' how do you's do this?

i am a total beginner with photoshop or any editing programs so i realy aint got a clue haha

any help would be realy gratefull

Ask an easy question why dont you.

PS is a masterpiece of software. There are always 2 or more ways of achieving the same or similar ends.

To darken or lighten you have:
- Dodge / Burn tools
- Curves / Levels / Saturation tools and bags of others.
- Selections
- Masks
- Layers

The list goes on...

Depending on what you are trying to do/acheive there are different methods. I've been using PS for over a year and still learn new things every time I start it.

i can take the pic but its the editing i just cant do, i know its been darkened in some places and lightened in others but i just cant do it haha
