Sponsored By: Vision Graphix
http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/../images/externallogos/banners/vision_graphix_460x68.gif (http://www.visiongraphix.co.uk/)

Vision Graphix will provide a print of the winning image for the winner each month

This year, the themes are designed to make you think, to encourage the imagination.

The deadline for entries is the 11:59pm on the last day of the month, shortly after that a POLL will be made for you to vote for you favourite entries that month. This process will then repeat each month with a leader board being published after each round. The winner of each month will receive a prize (this will be announced each month). The member with the most votes at the end of the year will win the coveted TP POTY Trophy.

So on with the competition;

The theme for NOVEMBER is:
'PAST IT'

What once was in its glory, but now............

if anyone's thinking of a Lolcats themed shot with some Feline and a can of Mr. Heinz's best known product, please do the world a favour and put the camera down and step away now...

There's some good interpretation already - need to get my skate's on to stop me being past it and missing the deadline..............

Well - that's it - I'm in. Can't see myself getting another chance to shoot for the competition this month, real life's getting in the way a bit, so I've gone with another still-life shot.

First time entry for me,
I had a go at using a prism to add a bit of colour.

There we go, my entry in. I had had all sorts of ideas about the "past it" theme, and had left various foodstuffs in various warm cupboards to go "past it" for me to then photograph, but when I spotted the basket at Barafundle, it was far more photogenic than the mouldy old lemon and strawberry, so I snapped away. Problem is that I can't remember where I put the open tin of baked beans, and they must be almost walking by now!!!

Well that's mine in. Did look forward to this theme but found it a struggle in the end, oh well on to the next and final month!

Mine's now in and even had a couple of days to spare - I'm improving my timeliness!

Phew! Got mine shot, edited and submitted at last. Was starting to worry that I might not get my intended idea done; weddings, rehearsals and school shows were all distractions.

Really like some of the interpretations entered so far.

Anyhow, image uploaded and moving on to the 'open' round...

there's ages to go yet... in the region of 3,750 minutes! Of which 850 i'll be asleep, 1620 i'll be working, 420 i'll be driving, 180 i'll be eating, 240 i'll be playing on the PS3, 300 i'll be walking the dog, 120 of general procrastinating and buggering about - which leaves a nice 20 minute window to get my entry sorted. Easy :bonk:

i'm not so sure about that Jon!
I got mine shot yesterday... rushing round appointments for work.. knowing where i was going to shoot and trying to get there before the light fell. It was pretty much dark when i got there so i was stood there on the prom in a suit freezing my nads off! 20 second exposures seem like 20 minute ones when you're chilled to the bone :gag:
