View Full Version : Adobe CS2 won't recognise RAW file?
Having just loaded CS2 onto my new laptop, I used the browse facility and it is displaying the icon of the image and not the thumbnail as it normally does on my desktop. When I double click it to open the message says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"
I have unistalled the software twice and re-installed it with the same outcome. Can anyone shed any light on this for me  Thanks
i had that and still have with cs3.
Did Iread recently that there was an update released to do with RAW files and Adobe stuff? Is it worth checking for them?
From memory I downloaded a update for this from the Adobe website, to solve the problem.
I cured it when I intstalled photomatix?
I will try and get an update downloaded. Thanks

I had the same problem with my raw files I loaded the software that came with my camera (Nikon) and all is fine now :)
there is a plug in/update for CS2 which fixed that for me. Alternatively why not try Raw Shooters essentials which you can probably still find somewhere on the web.

Each different sensor on each different camera takes different RAW files. You need a plugin or support for your particular camera. You can usualy get plugins if the camera isn't supported by default, just search for them...
hmmmph my UPDATES bit is greyed out!

Search for the update you need (if it exists)in google and download it seperately.
This one might help...
