Time I started to share a few images again me thinks.

Here's a little something to get going with. :)

interestingly different
the background at the front - in focus
the subject at the back out of focus
yet it works

Apart from the obvious crop from original size I have no complaint with this shot. Technically good and amusing to boot. Methinks you should be sharing more.

Thanks gents.

I don't like rules Mike, break em any chance I get. Even in photos. ;)

HUN, obviously I'm happy for you to have any and as many complaints as you like. ;) Intersted as to why a crop would be one? :)

I am of the opinion that we look at so many photographs that we get used to the 2x3 proportions that we use with DSLRs and really started with 35mm. When an image breaks away from that it looks "different" even when it works well within it's own proportions (as yours does). I know that there are other proportions (square, landscape, 6x7, etc) but that is how I feel when we break out of that "norm".
Can I get off the couch now Dr Dazza?!

Yup, your hour is up.

I think a course of sessions might be in order though, a looooong course.:lol:

6x17 is probably my favourite format of all the cameras I've owned at some time or another btw. :D

Love the colour & contrasts, the duck heads in the bg give it a fun, quirky feel
... makes me feel like youre having a larf at me for 'studying' it too hard :p

Btw, can I have an hour on the couch too please ;)

Well of course, there'll always be space for you. I'll understand if you want to see how my first patient turns out though. ;)

I think she might want the hour for a different reason Dazza. Like most doctors, you don't seem to be so hot once you are outside your field of specialism. ;)
