Really is a nice shot Marcel :) love the composition and all the lines. The sky is something else and I really like the backlighting on the clouds on the left. I would maybe tempted to bring out some of the detail on the hill side if it was mine, but that might ditract from the rest of the image I guess.
I love pics like that, in itself it is a good pic, but then the subject starts to make me think things like 'do they know each other?' then if they do 'must be having a bit of a domestic, with the distance between them'
Superb sky, how did you do it? filter or HDR?
The sky makes that photo.
I like the candidness of two people just sitting there just generally looking. The sort of thing Oasis would have on one of their covers. :)
Now that is good  Very well seen, beautifully composed and superb processing. I agree with Hawker, you really do wonder if those two know each other or not :)

Excellent shot! Just like the others have said, it makes you wonder if they know each other :)
I reckon they were walking the dog and stopped to admire that sky ;) Very nicely caught Marcel and excellent processing!

I agree with what's already been said. This is a cool shot. Did you HDR it?
Did you HDR it?
rofl I was wondering that too but was afraid to ask

rofl I was wondering that too but was afraid to ask
Why? Is Marcel scarier than he looks?;)
No, but discussing HDR is ;)

Would be intrested to hear if you used a filter or processing.

It's good obviously, but I would like to see one without the people too.
Its entirely processing I will happily admit!
Many thanks for all your lovely comments :)
It is indeed HDR'd. Three TIFFs from one RAW file, all three processed in Lightroom, then from there to Photomatix, HDR'd and Tone Mapped. Then from there into Photoshop. With a slight curves layer to accentuate the midtones, and thats it.
I'll resize the shot straight out of Lightroom to show you the original :)
If I were you I'd put that forward for the 2008 calendar :) Superb piece of HDR'ing
