i know that when it comes to photography i know very little and what i am gonna ask may be a really really bad thing to ask professional photographers but
are these any good?

At that price I'd take a chance. OK they will not be up to the standard of a real macro lens, but will let you have a play at macro to see if it's the thing for you. I got a 4X one for about £5 and this is one of my very first goes with it.

Close up filter lenses can work OK so might be worth a punt for that money. Add on wide angle or telephoto things are junk. Make sure you get the right thread size for your lens.
