Please vote for which shots you would like to see in the Talk Photography 2008 Members Calendar.
The poll is multiple choice, so you can vote for as many as you like, or as little as you like. You aren't restricted to a how many shots you can vote for. However you can only vote for each shot once :)

I'll be uploading the photos in a minute, please bear with me :)

exactly what i was thinking :) its going to take some pondering, but i think i will pick 12!

Ended up being 16!!! Good luck everyone, i'm trying to comfort myself already on the fact that there's no shame with that many excellent images. It really is hard to pick a 12.

Wow  The standard is excellent! it was really tough picking 12, but after some jiggling with my choices i got there in the end.

Can't wait to see what the final line up will be! Good luck all :)

That was hard :bang:

I managed to get it down to 13. If I tried again there would probably be changes, and again and again. The standard is excellent. good luck all who entered.

 How often do we get a thread with quite so many stunning images in one hit! Fabulous effort everyone, I certainly think we will end up with a calendar to be very proud of :woot: .... and no, I dont know how many i voted for in the end, certainly in double figures I think. ;)

The poll is multiple choice, so you can vote for as many as you like, or as little as you like. You aren't restricted to a how many shots you can vote for. However you can only vote for each shot once :)

:rules: :D

CT
27-10-2007, 13:34
Yep- you can vote for as many shots as you like, but once you've submitted a vote you should find you're snookered for voting again, and you should get a message that you're not allowed to vote.

There's nothing in the rules to preclude you voting for your own entry.

Susane
27-10-2007, 13:38
I've voted for all the ones that I'd like to see hanging on my kitchen wall for a month at a time.:)

Good luck everybody.

Me too. :) Doesn't make it any easier though.

It narrows it down a bit though!
While all the shots are very good in their own right, some are more suited to a feature wall than my kitchen.:)

27-10-2007, 13:55
Not sure if it can be done.
Is it possible to maybe have all the entries on a final page/back cover as small thumbnails.

Damn - soz chaps, when it said you could only vote once I didn't think it meant once overall, but once per shot. As I didn't have any paper & pen handy and I have a crap memory, I decided to vote in up to 3 at a time - so I only managed one round of voting and so missed voting on several of my favs!
:amstupid:

What does the percentage indicate....?

Its got me foxed!!!

zenarcher
28-10-2007, 11:19
The percentage just looks like it is a decimal place out, for example someone with an indicated percentage of 48% of the vote, really has 4.8% of the vote..............though I could be wrong:)

marky_h

Great idea - or maybe the 'next best 16' or something like that

Fabulous overall standard though - TP should be proud it can produce a collection like we have done

h.r.ford
28-10-2007, 12:21
nope not quite. Because people are allowed to vote for more it reads like this 48% of the people who voted, picked this pick in their vote.

I managed to get down to 16 votes, wasnt easy.

Heaven knows why though.

THis is a really stupid observation, but why do the percentages add to more than 100%.

Yes, it is a REALLY stupid observation!! Thats why none of us knows the answer!! :D:D

Also have to say that Im amazed that there are 80 entries, but only 76 people have voted so far........so that's not all the entrants have even voted!! Let alone all the hundreds who are on here day in day out........its strange.

dizzy
29-10-2007, 09:32
the percentage given is how many percent of the people included that image in their selection. i.e. If 100 have voted and your image has 15% then 15 of those 100 people have voted for your image.

30-10-2007, 13:22
This was fun. I found 15 that I wanted to vote for, and after I'd voted I discovered that 8 of them are currently in the Top 12. With 80 to choose from, I guess that means my tastes are pretty mainstream. Ho hum. Not sure whether that's good or bad!

StewartR
30-10-2007, 13:28
Just a thought though. The way the voting is currently going, it looks like the calendar will be about 75% landscape photos. Not that I've got anything against that, but the other 25% will seem a bit odd. It would be somewhat unbalanced...
