They are all superb shots..

exactly what i was thinking :) its going to take some pondering, but i think i will pick 12!
Ended up being 16!!! Good luck everyone, i'm trying to comfort myself already on the fact that there's no shame with that many excellent images. It really is hard to pick a 12.
I picked 12. That was tough! :gag:
That was fun :)
I ended up being super-stingy and voting for about 6 or 7, but well done everyone.
Wow  The standard is excellent! it was really tough picking 12, but after some jiggling with my choices i got there in the end.
Can't wait to see what the final line up will be! Good luck all :)
Only managed to get it down to 13 but could have had two calendars easy.
I chose 12 as well - not an easy task with such high standards being shown here.
Well done to everyone who entered, I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished calendar!

OO that was a toughie, some excellent shots there, I think I voted for 16 in the end but could've quite happily carried on :D Good Luck everyone

That was hard :bang:
I managed to get it down to 13. If I tried again there would probably be changes, and again and again. The standard is excellent. good luck all who entered.
:clap::clap::clap::clap: Very well done everyone. Glad we could pick more than 1!!! Looked last night and hubby and I picked ours that we liked and changed again this morning. Very tough field out there
 How often do we get a thread with quite so many stunning images in one hit! Fabulous effort everyone, I certainly think we will end up with a calendar to be very proud of :woot: .... and no, I dont know how many i voted for in the end, certainly in double figures I think. ;)
Mine is so humble in comparison to the others..
Voted for my favs though
Just voted too! Hard work as the standard is so high. I assume you dont vote for your own & only vote once?

:rules: :D
Yep- you can vote for as many shots as you like, but once you've submitted a vote you should find you're snookered for voting again, and you should get a message that you're not allowed to vote.
There's nothing in the rules to preclude you voting for your own entry.
I've voted for all the ones that I'd like to see hanging on my kitchen wall for a month at a time.:)
I've voted for all the ones that I'd like to see hanging on my kitchen wall for a month at a time.:)
Me too. :) Doesn't make it any easier though.
Sorry I am not much on reading rules!!! I did vote for my choice for a full 12 months.
Good luck everybody.
Me too. :) Doesn't make it any easier though.
It narrows it down a bit though!
While all the shots are very good in their own right, some are more suited to a feature wall than my kitchen.:)

Not sure if it can be done.
Is it possible to maybe have all the entries on a final page/back cover as small thumbnails.
If you know what I mean.
How the hell are you supposed to choose the best out of that lot!
Well done everyone, some fantastic shots.

Damn - soz chaps, when it said you could only vote once I didn't think it meant once overall, but once per shot. As I didn't have any paper & pen handy and I have a crap memory, I decided to vote in up to 3 at a time - so I only managed one round of voting and so missed voting on several of my favs!
:amstupid:

What does the percentage indicate....?
Its got me foxed!!!
zenarcher
28-10-2007, 11:19
The percentage just looks like it is a decimal place out, for example someone with an indicated percentage of 48% of the vote, really has 4.8% of the vote..............though I could be wrong:)
Not sure if it can be done.
Is it possible to maybe have all the entries on a final page/back cover as small thumbnails.
If you know what I mean.
Great idea - or maybe the 'next best 16' or something like that
Fabulous overall standard though - TP should be proud it can produce a collection like we have done
h.r.ford
28-10-2007, 12:21
nope not quite. Because people are allowed to vote for more it reads like this 48% of the people who voted, picked this pick in their vote.
Jimmy_Lemon
28-10-2007, 12:27
I managed to get down to 16 votes, wasnt easy.
Well I had a look at the percentages before, and it seems (at the time), 1 vote, equalled 1.47%.
Heaven knows why though.

28-10-2007, 21:12
WOW how can you pick 12 out of that lot, 52 maybe.
Well done everyone brilliant images

A stunning set of images to choose from, very difficult to choose. The calandar will be stunning
THis is a really stupid observation, but why do the percentages add to more than 100%.
THis is a really stupid observation, but why do the percentages add to more than 100%.
Yes, it is a REALLY stupid observation!! Thats why none of us knows the answer!! :D:D
Also have to say that Im amazed that there are 80 entries, but only 76 people have voted so far........so that's not all the entrants have even voted!! Let alone all the hundreds who are on here day in day out........its strange.
the percentage given is how many percent of the people included that image in their selection. i.e. If 100 have voted and your image has 15% then 15 of those 100 people have voted for your image.
Voted now,
Sorry, competely forgot about this one. Had a busy week or so, so haven't been around much!

This was fun. I found 15 that I wanted to vote for, and after I'd voted I discovered that 8 of them are currently in the Top 12. With 80 to choose from, I guess that means my tastes are pretty mainstream. Ho hum. Not sure whether that's good or bad!
StewartR
30-10-2007, 13:28
Just a thought though. The way the voting is currently going, it looks like the calendar will be about 75% landscape photos. Not that I've got anything against that, but the other 25% will seem a bit odd. It would be somewhat unbalanced...
GOD DAMN!!!! thats was NOT easy.
theres some very talented people on this forum.
but i have picked my top 12
Well done to all of you between you you've made it almost impossible to choose :shrug:I managed to get it down to 12 but it took ages. Once again well done to all who entered :clap::clap:

Great photos everyone!!
Voted. Good job all, plenty of crackers.
Now when do we get to see the "Ladies of TP Forums" calendar? :D
All voted, looked yesterday and decided today :)
Although as been said I could easily change my mind!!
This calendar will be special!
Well done all.
Have voted for my favourite 12 - have to say that a few (for me) were easier to choose than others - as they were absolute corkers!
Can't believe how high the standard is - well done to everyone that entered - and good luck also.
Just a little note.....We'll close voting at around 8pm this coming Sunday :)
Gives a good few more days to get more votes in! :)

I've finally had a chance to vote. Well done, everyone.
I was surprised to see only one "people shot" in there. It's a good one, though, so I'm happy. Still, hope to see more of them next time around, and I'll try to do my part to make it so. ;)

Stunning ... what more is there to say ...
I am not sure TP has EVER put so many class photographs together in a single place ... :suspect:
A super showing guys 'n gals and everyone of you should be proud to be in amongst the choices ... :D ... well done y'all ...
And to the organiser/s ... well done too for getting them all posted in sequence ... ... in one place and for arranging the voting system ...
And talking of voting ... nightmare ... :seek: ... I am afraid I was quite ruthless in the end in getting my vote down to twelve ... :naughty: ...wasn't easy though ...

I looked at all the pictures and its easier to pick 12 I wouldn't vote for. Can we drop the gregorian calender and start the Talk Photography year based on 38 months?
