Shot 1 for me Simon, although I do feel the tree obliterates part of the view, perhaps (if possible) a little further back ? - It looks steep.

Thanks for the replies. To be honest I plan to revisit this one & try a few more angles - the lighting wasn't the best either

First one for me. Was it cropped at all? If so, and there's 'something interesting' to the right my feeling would be to push the tree a little further down and to the left - the eye would fall down the hill to it then, and it would open the image up if there was a bit more sky available.

:agree: maybe with tree a bit further from the center and a little smaller:thumbs:
