Hi all,

I thought it would be nice to have a little competition to see who can get the best firework pictures this year. Seeing as it’s nearly Guy Fawkes night get snapping and show us the results!

You are looking at long exposures (1/10th or less). So a tripod and a remote cable are pretty good ideas

Yv

These were between 2 and 6 seconds, at F8, and 100 ISO, so yes, tripod and a remote cable are very useful.

This thread (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=37278) may be of some help with settings for taking pics of fireworks. :)

Just downloading mine from last nights party round a friend's house. Had the most fun with the kids and sparklers (can't show the adults and sparklers as they spelt out rude words!)

Got our rugby club one next week so should get more then

Hum - That turned out to be hard last night. I was on Bonfire duty at our local scouts firework display so had to set the camera up and use my wireless remote to shoot from some distance away, returning occaisionally to readjust.

I got a few.

I wasn't impressed when the winds shifted and started blowing over where I was standing. But then again it adds a bit of colour to the frame I think.
