So i've been on here a few days and jabbered on about how i mainly photograph at gigs and live events. So despite me only so far using a Canon Powershot S3, i thought i'd show you a few things i've 'accomplished' so far...

Once i get my 'nifty fifty' and 350D hopefully i'll be able to improve my images and i'll definately show my progress to you guys seeing as you've helped me so much already.

So anyway, here goes.

My mate Lewis Rainer playing an acoustic set at college:

A few of the Dancers at a production of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Obviously i already understand there are noise issues with these two images, but any CC anyone has to offer would obviously be appreciated.

Think that they are both "very nearly there" images for me J. The first shot could have done with you stepping slightly to the right so the drumkit was behind Lewis - the lighting from it is taking the attention away from him a tad too much imo but may have provided some nice backlighting from the different angle.

I do really like the 2nd shot but it could do with a slight levels tweak & a sharpen to really make the image "pop" pity about the dancer at the back being hidden though. Composition looks great & I really like the tones used.

I'd lose that 1st watermark & stick with the 2nd if I were you

Hope you don't mind the honest feedback - gig photography is difficult at the best of times & I think that you've done a good job all considered - looking forward to the next ones

Thanks for the feedback and i agree that the angle change would have made the image a lot better looking.

The second image definately needs some tweaking and i have actualy done it a while back, however i stupidly hosted the earlier version instead of the final product *slaps forehead*

Hi there, J.
Moomike is right...(...usually is! ;))

I like number 2 logo best too.

Well the second was my origonal logo... however i thought it looked a bit big (even though the dancer asked for it to be bigger to cover her cleavage hehe) so i went with a more of a subtle watermark for ontop. But hey, i may re-consider it now =P
