Well, went into RGB tech in Middlesbrough this morning in view of trying and maybe buying a Sigma 17-70 lens, they never had any so looked at the tripods with a view of buying a manfrotto 190 X-Pro B, then i saw in the window a used Gitzo carbon fibre G1128 Mk2 jobbie with a VERY attractive price tag on it, it weighs about 2lb and is nice and compact which is what i really wanted, I matched it up with a new Manfrotto 486 RC2 ball head - was looking at i think the 804RC2 tilt pan head but decided the ball was quicker and easier to use, plus less bulky, anyway guess how much i paid for the carbon fibre tripod?

Is this for the old model where each section of leg had to be extended seperately, or the new version that you can lock and unlock them all at once?
