View Full Version : Login problems
Got an odd problem with logging into the site via the front page. I get an error message saying "POST from foreign hosts is not allowed" or something similar.
I just figured out I am able to login using "reply to thread" :whistling
Now I've found the workaround I'm not hugely worried about it, just wondered if there was a fix. My ISP is Blueyonder if that helps.
I get the same message when trying to log on from my Mum's PC. She uses blueyonder also :confused-

I had the same problem too, at work (during my lunchhour of course), but our internet provider is wanadoo, the problem resolved itself though. I dont think it relates just to blueyonder.

Sorry guys I don't know what the issue is, we don't have any setting enabled (that I know of) to prevent foreign hosts. I use one here in Germany and have no issues?
I will have a mooch in the settings but I am sure there is nothing there, we don't have any ip's banned or blocked and as long as you have already registered then I am at a loss.
No big deal as I said, now I've found a workaround. The term "post" refers to "postdata" which is the set of credentials used to authenticate the browser ie username/password
I tested from both Internet Explorer and Mozilla and get the same results.
I do not get this error from work using our corporate Telewest Blueyonder connection, our RM PLC ADSL connection or our links out through SuperJANET either, so I'm wondering if it's specific to Blueyonder home users and (as above) Wanadoo accounts
I'm on Blueyonder and don't get the problem.
