Evening all, as a favour on Friday went along to my pals wifes "ladies volleyball" team, practice night.

Typical stuff in a sports hall with not great lighting so introduced the flash for some of the images.

Was working well until I was going for that "final action shot" and the flash got hit at full tilt by a volleyball.:bonk:

The flash took the brunt of the impact (fortunately no damage to my camera or lens).

I do however have a damaged flash hotshoe that will need replacing, I see looking at it, there are screws so it can be replaced.

Has anyne got any ideas where to get this fixed (in the Midlands hopefully) or is it an insurance claim for a new flash??

Your help very welcome......(got some great shots though!!).

can highly recommend that company in Stoke - so far they have been excellent with the bit i needed for my 430ex.

Can't for the life of me remember their name, but i was recommended them from here.

(I'll have a search for the name)

Canon UK, Fixation or Lehmann's will all fix this common problem. Not sure of their exact location, so you'll probably have to post it
