What would I need to get to fit a lens that works on a D70 to a Canon 400D?

And how much?

You will never get metering or autofocus, so I really wouldnt bother!

ah ok, I was just wondering as a friend has a nice long lens and if it were a cheap option of an adapter I could pay tht and borrow the long lens.
