When watching some sports on TV i.e. Premiership,Champions League and Tennis I've seen some Pros holding their camera bodies upside down when taking shots.
WHY?
stop their breath steaming up the chimp screen
battery current flows faster down hill
good fag holder....in the tripod mount screw hole
Arty perspective
distribute the suns heat equally along the length of those canon lenses...toasted both sides
I've no idea......maybe they're left handed at shutter releasing:lol:
maybe they're not really pros ;)
puts the lens an inch (or two) above the eyeline instead of an inch (or two) below
cool, never knew that. Thanks Mike

WHY?
Because they all come from down under :D
less stress on the shutter?

Not sure about tennis unless you're sightings are from indoor tournaments.
Unless you can get really close to the viewfinder (short nosed tog) then having the body upside down removes the glare from the floodlights....the camera body blocks the lights and you have a better chance of composition if you're not squinting....same if you're shooting into or close to the sun.
Portrait togs do it to fire the onboard flash upwards to illuminate inder chins.
