Nice shots Dave but can I suggest you might clone out that crane in #1 as my eye went straight to it. :)
Agree with Alby about the crane but apart from that  but I still prefer #1 ( just)
Oh and no more simian comments I promise :D
 alby . i may just do that..

Nice shots of a nice part of the world!
Agree with the crane comment and no 2 needs a tiny tiny rotation counterclockwise unless my eyes need a rotation clockwise!
Some excellent detail in these shot, love the first one, crane for me no real problem
Great shots guys in real tough and horrible conditions... A conbination of hail, torrential rain, sun, wind and very dark skies.
Was good fun though, all washed down by a few local Brains.

No 1 for me, nice & moody - like the composition - think I'd remove the crane too

My goodness, you did well in those awful conditions. Agree about the crane.
I like em .... suprised myself :D
was bl**dy awful weather *** wasn't it.
Good day all told ***
Here's my first effort on a similar shot.... Dave - Shall I leave on here or create another thread? Gone for a dark moody shot, thought the conditions warranted it :)
