View Full Version : The Glen & Airlie Monument
Had a wander up to a spot where I saw Crossbills last week but nothing today. Took a few shots on the walk.

That would be a matter of opinion!
Where did you see the Crossbills?
I've never seen one despite many attempts to find them:bang:.
I've been a member of the RSPB for years and sometimes come down to Loch Kinnordy. Any where near there?
Thocht you wid hae plenty o they Crossbills in Grampian.
Thinking about it now There were about 15-20 of them & they may just have been passing through as I have never seen them in the Glen before. I have heard of them up in Glen Doll area though. RSPB! I have the dubious honour of having been sacked by the SWT:lol:

I feel none. Seems I did not read the rule book properly. Forgot to tug the old forelock!
Stunning photographs!! :D
1st time had a look through and have to say these are brilliant, anything to do with the countryside, that and trees are always special to me, thanks for posting, probably no1 edges it for me with that touch of mist.
Just wonder if it was smoke.

No it was mist. Honest! Glad you enjoyed them.
1, 2 and 3 do it for me. Love the compositions, good saturation and lead in lines. Lovely stuff :)

Great set, love number 1 with the wisp of cloud.
1 & 4 are super shots. What a beautiful place for taking a walk.
1 & 3 for me... wonderful lead in lines. And I like the snow-capped peaks of the last one too
first and last for me I'm a sucker for mist and snow, lovely shots all though.
Thanks once again for all the very kind comments. I always post pics in the hope that some of the folk on here will enjoy them.
For those that are interested & have looked at the cabin building thread. The wood for the floor came from the bottom right among the mist

True :) But they're both behind Highland :p
Nice series sawman. Not so keen on #3 but this whole thing's subjective anyway :)
