OK here we go......this is my first attempt at HDR. I used 2 images that i took this summer but because of the bright exposure from the sun i didn't really bother. But after seeing some of the HDR work here i thought i'd give it a go.

I used photomatix....

Nice one Karl, nice composition and the colour leaps out and smacks you round the face with a sopping wet kipper.:thumbs:

This is my other attempt, but i did do some more PP because i thought the stone looked too orange, so i reduced it a littl to try and keep it as natural os possible, i also increased the exposure with the curves tool, used a layer mask and painted back the foreground and Abbey....

Both images are superb, a very subtle use of HDR. Nice!

Really like the look of the stone and sky in both but find the grass just a bit strong for me perhaps but it is marginal. Definately some of few hdr shots I really like :)

:thumbs: Yep liking both those a lot. personally I find the green just a smidge too saturated in both of them, but as dino said, certainly smacks you in the face. Very subtle and appropriate use of hdr :clap:
