Pete,
I continue to be stunned by your gig photography. Being a musician myself it's fantastic to see shots like this.
Just tell me something, what focal length do you find you need for gig photography? 'm just trying to choose which to get first: 24-70 or 70-200 for my first L, and gig photograhy is something I really want to explore. I just want to ensure what I get is long enough.

Doesn't do much for me Pete :( nicely taken as always, just doesnt really make me want to come back and look at it again.
I really like the shot Pete, think it may have been slightly improved by the guitar being slightly more off-centre but the conversion & focus is spot on as usual. Nicely done

I like it. Really captures that hazy pre-gig atmosphere!
Where were they playing, Pete? I was at the Barfly on Friday night and it was really atmospheric. Proper old school indie venue: sticky floors and chicken wire over the sound booth! Other than the relatively poor lighting rig it would be great to take pics in!
It's a good generic shot as well. (if you clone out delta fiasco on the amp flight case)

I love it, it belongs on the back of a Clash LP

24-70 f/2.8 is all you need. Glad you liked it guys.

That's a great photo, really captures the pre/post gig atmosphere brilliantly, agree that it wouldn't look out of place on the sleeve of a Clash album!

The DOF and noise gives it a proper gig type smoky feel. Pity that's a thing of the past :-(
another shot of yours I really like, the eye is lead in via the effects consoles and then along the power lead to the Fender Tele....good stuff.
