Hello...

Several days ago I visited Syon Park near Twickenham with my family, for the annual 'Enchanted Forest'. Due to having run out of camera film, I took with me an almost ten year old Nikon Coolpix 2000 (2mp) and my bendy leg table tripod - turning the camera flash off and shooting via the timer. The vast majority of the images went straight into the recycle bin - but these two I felt worthy of sharing considering the gear I was using!

Syon Park is well worth a visit, the enchanted forest is on until the 9th December, and they encourage photography. It will cost you a fiver to get in. These images are of the 'Great Conservatory', just before you reach the burger shack. ;)

nice but imo they would have been perfect had it not been quite so dark :)

I've moved this into the sharing section.

Think I'd agree with the previous comment (mainly on the second shot). The unlit areas have under exposed and the lit bits a bit over so a touch or twilight might have helped.

I've got plenty of old pictures from a 2.2Mp Kodak camera and they still look pretty good. I'd say you can hang on to that old coolpix a bit longer based on these :)

Hmmm just realised you are recommending the place for a visit so maybe I shouldn't have moved it!

I didn't put the post in a specific forum for exactly that reason, to be honest the pictures were a bit of an afterthought. I thought the place may be of interest to others, it certainly is something a bit different to take piccies of.

Thanks for the feedback guys, not that I was expecting any! Don't worry, i'll not be entering either of these into any competitions!
