What a load of balls

tried some close up shots just testing my lens capabilities, let me know what you guys think, thanx :thumbs:

Balls indeed


Having an OoF foreground always makes it harder to get into the shot, so 2 works better here

In 1, you should have focussed on the front of the bowl or at least the nearest ball - IMO

At least you had the balls to have a go - I don't have any balls as such :'(:'(:'( or I'd get them out and shoot them too!

not really bothered doin much close up work tbh dave so i wanted the tips to improve, thanx, will have a go at pulling off better balls next time ;)

But really, lots of up front in focus works best, lots of OoF leave behind the main subject

Interesting balls, are they used for anything or just decorations?

The complementary colours work well, the second is the best but your not far off with the first.

The DOF works well on the 2nd one.
